Transuranic Muse

A freeplay journey

Transuranic Muse, a collaborative project led by Larry Edoff (p) and Rudi-Renoir Appoldt (as), traces its roots back to 1994 when the two musicians crossed paths at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Following their graduation, Larry relocated to New York City while Rudi-Renoir returned to Luzern, Switzerland. Despite the geographical distance, they maintained a close connection and frequently reunited in New York for performances. In 2010, they embarked on a transformative journey by dedicating time to compose and record at Larry’s Studio in Westchester, NY. These sessions proved to be profoundly inspiring, prompting them to commit to regular collaboration.

Their musical style blends improvisation with precomposed elements, showcasing a unique synergy that leads them on explorative musical voyages. Through years of playing together, they have crafted a distinctive musical language, situated between the realms of Jazz and Neo-Classical, enriching their artistic expression.
